Export Month - organized by the Advertising Association and the Department for International Trade will promote the services of UK-based agencies to international markets, particularly the European Union member states.
The UK currently exports nearly 6B GBP worth of advertising services annually, with growth at nearly 3X that of the wider economy.
Departure of the UK from the EU poses multiple threats to the UK ad industry, including differing regulations and the potential for immigration rules to impact the availability of advertising talent from the EU.
As part of this initiative, the Advertising Association's research arm Credos will be publishing a report showing the performance of UK ad agencies across markets.
So far in March the Advertising Association has participated in the Shanghai International Advertising Festival to explore new opportunities in the Chinese market; the South by Southwest festival in the USA; and the Tokyo-London Forum.
Other March events in which the Advertising Association will perticipate include Advertising Week Europe, the Cannes Lion UK competition, and the Promote UK Year One celebrations.
