MMGY Global wins 2024 Israel Tourism contract for US PR
MMGY's contract began on May 1 at $20K/month, with the possibility of extension for an additional 4 years.
MD-PR/North America Lauren Kaufman will head up MMGY's work on the Israel contract.
Contract awarded in March 2023 to Israel's previous PR agency Development Councillors International was not renewed.
Tourism - notably religious, archeological, and heritage tourism - has traditionally been a major source of income for Israel, which in pre-pandemic 2019 received a record 4.55M international tourist arrivals. But the Gaza conflict - which began in October 2023 and resulted in cessation of inbound flights due to security concerns - has plunged Israel's tourism industry into crisis.
